As young people we are bombarded with choice, especially in transitionary periods. The first one is graduating high school, and the second one is graduating university. The first one is probably easier than the second one because you have to choose what industry you are going into. It doesn’t matter if like biology and physics, or if you like computers and literature. You have to pick something to go into university for. This is fairly easy, a good cop out for this is picking a wider degree, a degree that lets you do a lot of things, for example picking engineering instead of computer science or picking math instead of statistics. This way you can still let future you shape your life, since picking something early robs of you figuring out what you are good at naturally.
The second one is right now, for me and for a lot of my readers. Many of my friends have taken the plunge into “real-life”. They have a job, they have an industry, they have a title that they picked out, that they will focus on for the next couple years. However, this assumes that you made the right choice with your degree in the first place, and it begs the question, what do I really want to do. Is it even math? is it even engineering?
Once you figure out if you want field you want to be in, then downstream of that is the place you want to live, combined with conditions for family,weather..etc. If you are really into fashion, you should try to move to Paris. It’s not impossible here, but it’s probably worth to see what your predecessors have come up with.
Anyway, what I’m trying to say is when you have a transition phase in your life, it really makes you think about how you want to live your life.
P.S sorry for not writing, I’ve been so busy with school. I think this year I took on a lot more than I could chew.
