Language molds thoughts
Language gives us a foundation of rules and regulations so that we can use it as a tool to communicate. Language becomes a double-edged sword as we can never break out of its context. The rules that make it possible to communicate, restrict us without us knowing. English speakers are held down by concepts like sentence structure, grammar, and vocabulary. This causes us to shape our thoughts into ideas that can be expressed in English. In real time, as I write down each sentence the original idea, through the process of articulating is lost. There is more to this idea than this body of text, but my lack of vocabulary and vague concepts like sentence flow, make the idea lose its essence. Our ideas will always be limited by the words we know, but we can still try our best to express them.
It’s fine to disagree with me as I’m willing to learn. If you have any thoughts you’d like to share with me please feel free to comment.
