Life is supposed to be fun

Intro: In life, it's easy to get caught up in the hustle and forget to actually enjoy the journey. I learned this the hard way, and I'd like to share my story with you.

The Four-job Manoj

Enjoy your life. We only have so much time left. There is a time and place to work hard. A couple of months ago I was working 4 jobs. I had a retail job, a server job, designing websites, and another web development project. This meant getting off work to do projects at home, for hours on end after work. My days blurred into nights as I worked tirelessly, sacrificing my happiness for a paycheck. I rarely got to see my friends or do the things that made me happy.

The realization

Now I'm just realizing that you won't get anywhere in life if you are miserable, if you keep saying we'll have fun later then you'll keep saying that. Life is all a constant balance. You can find it if you try. Nowadays, I go to bed with a smile on my face every day, I'm not sure how long I can keep this up, life will hit me with something unexpected. Loss of someone you love, or even pressure for work or school. Until then if you don't have a really strong reason to be unhappy then don't be. It's as simple as that. At work today, I was feeling unhappy for no apparent reason, I told myself it's because I'm turning 19 in one month and I haven't done anything extraordinary in life. This is true, and I'm quite ashamed of that as well, but I'm getting closer to what it means to be ME.

Embracing change

I'm peeling back the layers of my onion, realizing that I like things maybe I wouldn't align myself with in the past, like writing and reading books. I sell cars for a living now, and I don't know anything about cars. I didn't even know the difference between a sedan and a hatchback. I've learned so much, met so many people, and impacted so many lives. I should be happy, I know it's hard. It's the contradictions of who we are vs we who are trying to be that make us human. We'll all get there one day, we'll find the place in which we belong, as time runs out. I know I'll accept my fate but, until then I'm gonna work hard and have the most fun possible. 

 I'm trying the best I can to provide value for the time you are giving me.
