Salesperson
I started work at a car dealership. I want to be the greatest salesperson of all time. The best salespeople can change anyone’s mind through their speech. I was blown away by the way they sell the product. People come in looking to buy a 20-80 THOUSAND DOLLAR vehicle. To make that transaction, they have to trust you. In 1-2 hours, you have to gain their trust. Building a substantial amount of trust is no easy feat, that too in a short amount of time. There are a million things you can talk about, but time is ticking and you have to get creative. The challenge lies in doing this in real time; there is no time to think about it. You have to problem-solve immediately, and then the specific features and value of the car come into play. You have to genuinely try your best to help them get a good deal. People can sense it if you're not being genuine. It’s only been 2 weeks since I started working at the dealership. I wrote this post on my first day, and I was procrastinating on the editing.
