Ever since I graduated Highschool I've been thinking about what I like. Everyone goes into something that they like and want to do for the rest of their lives. Example: my brother loves cars, He's liked cars since before he could talk. Even now, his face lights up when he's talking about cars. When I was a child, I really liked to watch TV and run my mouth. Since then I still really like running my mouth but I don't watch TV as much.
Jeff bezos talked about work-life harmony, when you are living in accordance with your purpose (what you wanna do), and you have a family at home, they both harmonize and become a perfect energizer. I've noticed in life that success and faliures in a particular endeavour bleed into each other, creating either an upward or downward spiral
Let's say you tried out for a team in highschool and you make it. it motivates you to go play harder and you get really good at the sport, now your super confident, and you start selling shoes, because selling is about confidence.
Your so good that people begin to notice and people start coming to you asking to resell their shoes. Now a person says why don't you resell this car, and you start reselling cars, then houses, then you teach people how to sell things and now you have money, with money, you have more time to workout, more time to spend with family. Quality of life goes up, relationship with your friends and family is through the roof
Now an example of a Bad spiral, lets say you try out for a team in highschool and you don't make it. You think you are not good at the sport anymore and just stop playing. Since you don't play any sports, you get sluggish and lazy. You loose all the friends you used to play sports with and now your sluggish and lazy. Now you look at your friends and start to resent them becuase they are doing so much better than you, and then since your so resentful, you start taking it out on others, so now no one wants to be around you anymore. Now you get depressed
There's an issue here, lets say I pretend I like something and spend x amont of hours learning & mastering it. After x amount of time lets say I don't enjoy the thing anymore, what do I do? I'd have to start over with something else. Then it dawned on me, that's probably going to happen. I believe people change over time, their interests, personalities and their outlook on life. It's bound to hit me either now or in the future so I should just do something and correct along the way into something idk
I checked how many days I have alive, it said I'd live till I'm 84, so thats 64 more years. Meaning I have 3,337 weeks left.
